You ever have one of those Days?

Anyone have one of those days you wake up and wish you could start over?! Today is one of those days. I got up at 8am, and by 8:25am things were already hitting the fan. Holy smokes. Crazy emails, voicemails, packages not delivered on time! AGIDA I tell you! AGIDA. Yesterday I already started dealing with these things and opened a bottle last night. Let me tell you, I am ready to pour it over my cereal!!! LOL. It is supposed to be a GREAT day today, and maybe after a mid-morning cocktail it will be :).

Progress on the Homecoming Sampler is moving along nicely. On the 3rd out of 4 rows. It really is a cute piece, and nice to see progress so quickly on the animals, although the one I left half done last night, and said to heck with it, I am going to bed already!

A challenge has been brought to the table concerning Paradise Lost, and I am always up for one! I pulled out PL yesterday and decided to start on the top-right hand corner, to get the A & E done. I dont really like backstitching so I thought if I could put it to bed right from the beginning, I would enjoy stitching it for sure. Not that it isnt pretty, it is very pretty, I just need to figure out how to wiggle my nose and get it done immediately. I am still working on it, will keep all of you posted!

I am thrilled to start PL. I have chosen one of the most beautiful piece of 45ct linen. Vintage Sand Dune from Lakeside. OUTSTANDING. Of course, is there any ugly Lakeside linen? Heck No!! I am using the called for NPI and Gloriana silk threads. I cant believe how gorgeous it is so far, and there isnt really that much done! Stay tuned!

I splurged on something for myself, well this isnt really something new, I am always splurging--especially when it comes to stitching! These Dovo scissors--silver handles with blue blades. WOW is all I can say. Absolutely exquisite. I have used them for the past couple of days now and they are amazing. I highly recommend these!!

Hope all of you are having a great day! Mine will be too-- dont you worry.

  1. Oh what beautiful scissors - good for you for getting your leasst favorite part out of the way on the PL - it is a beautiful piece!

  2. Oh, do I love those scissors! And that is a great idea to get what you don't like to do out of the way first. I'm going to do this one next year. It's such a great piece and can't wait to see your progress. And I like your progress on your other two pieces too! Hope your day got much, much better!!

  3. I love the progress on both your pieces! And Dovo scissors -- yes, they're an addiction of mine. lol! Those are wonderful -- I've always wanted a pair with blue blades. One of these days. :D

  4. My money's on you for the PL challenge. There's a Ruby or three with your name on them, I'm sure!
Plus unlike some, YOU have fabric.

  5. Love your progress, what beautiful samplers these are! And the scissors are totally drool worthy, love, LOVE Dovos, they are heavenly!

Hmm, midmorning cocktails, there's an idea, lol!
Hope your week has gotten better :-)

  6. Love your progress on both samplers! Lovely stitching. I just love PL--it was a super fun stitch.

Hey, always remember that it's 5 o'clock somewhere, right?!? ;) Hope things are going better for you. I hate those days when you think you might just crawl back into bed & pull the covers over your head!

  7. Love Dovo scissors, they are simply the finest! I hope things are faring better for you, hang in there!

  8. Beautiful samplers. Love the Homecoming one. I will be checking back to see what this one looks like finished.

Your scissors are pretty sweet too! Makes cutting threads a real pleasure!

  9. I'm not familiar with your current sampler. I love the variety of creatures though so I can't wait to see more. I agree with you about both Lakeside and Dovo's. Aren't we lucky to have them?

Thank you for stopping by! I enjoy reading your comments :)
