Whats Next?

Thank you to everyone that has left such wonderful comments on Village!! I am still amazed it is done. I know you have been waiting patiently also to see the new WIP's I have been teasing you with. The first pictures is the start of the new Long Dog 'Pigalle'. Surprised? The colors have been completely changed, and the fabric too. Of course :). I am using 40ct Tarnished Silver Lakeside Linen, with Belle Soie & Gloriana silk; 1 strand over 2. I am thrilled with the turnout. It was a difficult choice. It took several conversions, with the help of several ladies, and several days to think about it. I love the colors, and look forward to the outcome. I didnt realize all the blackwork involved, and I am not a fan of stitching it, I love the outcome though. As I say, one stitch at a time!

This 2nd picture is another Long Dog piece called 'Nimrod'. Stitching on one of my favorites, 40ct Vintage Autumn Gold, Lakeside Linen with Gloriana silk. I really like the color combination, it is so different from what I usually stitch. Well I guess both pieces are. It is nice to work on a small piece for a change!!

  1. They are both awesome, Shannon. Although my fave would have to be the second one. That silks choice is yummy. Looking forward to seeing more of both of these.

  2. Both pieces are just wonderful - I think the second is my favorite as I love soft, subtle colors. Your fabric choices are just beautiful.

  3. I love your new starts!!! But I can't find a picture of Nimrod. Do you have a picture of the design or a link to it? I'm curious! Great colors on both!

  6. Ack, I missed your Village finish, too. It is FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations. You must be happy dancing all over the place. :) I love your new starts, too. I think I'm partial to the second one, even if it's just because of the name of the piece. ;) I love your fabric & fiber choices! Congrats again.

  7. I've seen Pigalle, but not Nimrod! I love the colors in each--I like to work on more than one thing at a time so I don't have to see the same color combinations. And yes, to your comment about needing lots of time to stitch everything--maybe that will be the secret to living to be 125--motivation! You know those old people who live another year or so because they want to have one more Christmas? Well, this is one more sampler, then one more...

  8. I love love love Long Dog! Nimrod is already on my to stitch list, so I will really enjoy watching your progress. Your color choices on Pigalle are fantastic! Good for you!! I also really love your new thread organizing system. I think that will be going on my Christmas list this year. Is it expensive? What do they call it? I'm adding their site to my "favorites" list so I don't lose it. :)
