This is Eleanor

Eleanor Jaegler from Willow Hill Samplings is officially stitched. I finished her last night, and I wanted to get it posted this morning so all could see her! I have to say stitching on the 48ct was a bit overwhelming at first (what did I get myself into?), but with my light I had no trouble. I might even consider another project on this count! Next I would like to try 45ct, and it is only a matter of time before I do.

I feel like working on my Village of Hawk Run Hollow next, I have 4 squares done, and I am itching to get it done already!!!! I like working on that piece because each square feels like I am starting a new project-- and we all know what that is like!! I am curious how many of you dont know what that is like!!!!! When I was working on the Black Forest piece, I was excited to work with the NPI again, I am always changing things and to work with what the pattern calls for is nice once in a while. I am happy with these colors. So let us see what the next week brings us!

  1. Eleanor is beautiful! I bet working with 45 ct would be much easier. I figure 45ct is my limit. :)

  4. Congratulations, Eleanor looks really beautiful. I wanted to say it already on your last post, I love the idea of giving homework. To bad I'm the only one cross stitching around my friends.

  8. Eleanor is absolutely beautiful. I love the colors you used for this. And yes, I know how it is with the HoHRH pieces. I try to treat each block as a small projects. Makes it easier to get through. Can't wait to see your next progress pic on it!

  9. Oh Shannon, I love, love, love your lil sampler! It is gorgeous and such a brave soul to attempt it on that high count! I always say 'never say never' but right at this point in my life, as much as I love 40 ct, I don't think I will go any higher!

Been trying to post to this post for a couple of days now and internet explorer keeps erroring, hope this time is the charm. Didn't want you to think I wasn't observing such a lovely sampler finish!! Kudos!

  11. You are my new hero! 48ct, wow! It is really awesome. Perfect color choice. I'm anxious to see how you frame it. Enjoy the HRH piece. I felt like that one took years to finish.
