What do you think of my floating horses?! I really like stitching fireplaces, I love the depth & the texture the colors give the design. Alot of color changing, which slows the stitching down, even though I have 8 needles stuffed into the arm of the couch!!!
Aha! So that's your secret to so much stitching- needles stuffed into the arm of your couch! I need to do more stitching, so please send me your couch.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, your work is so beautiful, you're inspiring me to stitch more!
Your work looks amazing. This blog turned out so beautiful. I should try the trick with the needles, I just usually keep on forgetting which color is hooked to what needle.
ReplyDeleteI like your floating horses, and I really like the entire block. I'm envious because I haven't gotten past Block 1 yet! I don't think I could try that needle trick - I forget what color was what!
ReplyDeleteThat is really amazing! Don't horses fly? I agree the fire in the fireplace is really cool.
ReplyDeleteGreat job as usual.
Your work is awesome!!! I always thought horses flew don't they. Anything can happen in stitching land. Great job as usual!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty block. You stitching is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteAmazing!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOK...was able to post, so I just wanted to say, Shannon, how incredibly beautiful your block is and I am still not believing my eyes that it is done already!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I grow up, I want to stitch as fast as you!!
Beautiful! The blacksmith shop is one of my favorite blocks from the Village.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful progress!! Are you using DMC or silk? One thread or two on 36ct? I'm sure you're still enjoying your gorgeous flowers!
ReplyDeleteVery colorful in contrast to the browns and blacks, especially. And LOL, I'm picturing forgetting there are 8 needles stuck in the arm of the sofa and perching on the arm as I sometimes do...
ReplyDeleteYou flew along on that block... erm... what is it when horses go fast? Ran... trotted quickly... you get the idea. It turned out SO nicely. I love Kathy's eye for color--I am always amazed at her designs. Fabulous block!
ReplyDeleteI used to do that with the needles in the armchair. But I can't know as I have a leather chair.
ReplyDeleteLove your floating horses. Who said horses don't fly. The whole block is beautiful. Love your fire place. - Sandra.
